Being young, fun and responsible is not easy. One always has to keep business intact while balancing a social life. Being a 24 year old Promoter,Hostess,Mentor, and Activist is very time consuming, but I am able to handle these projects by multi-tasking and using time management skills. I still find time for socializing and hobbies in the midst of tackling responsibilities. This youthful, high spirited individual takes care of business and juggles social life with no sweat. This is the life and times of Miss Mikala Cannon.

Would you like to be financially responsible and still enjoy social activities? Get ready to say “yes I can”! In these hard economical times, we have to make each dollar count. The recession is evident and effecting not only adults but teens as well. Here are few ways to save money without skipping the fun.
- Look for free activities in the paper or online. The Park, Parades, The Zoo, etc are all free and can make for quite an evening without spending.
- Clearly set financial obligations and payments. Avoid additional cost by bike riding instead of driving or rent with a roommate.
- Shop with a ‘needs’ list, and stick to the list to minimize the impulse purchases.
- Make money from your hobby. Give dance lessons, Tutor, Painting, etc. You improve your craft that you enjoy while increasing your finances.
- Volunteer. By donating your time, you are saving money and helping your fellow man.
These are just a few ways of prioritizing your time and money while saving and socializing. By using these tools, one can make a BIG difference in your finances. Start saying, “yes I can” to financial independence in your youth. Happy saving!
