David's current situation:
I decided that in my video I wanted to show you more of what I enjoy doing in my free time. After all if you pick me, I will have plenty of time to TELL you about myself. I won't always have a sweet song (Although I promise to make more if you like them!)
A year ago, this month, I was working a full-time job at Guitar Center making descent money and working with something I love (Music). Although I enjoyed it, I knew that it was important for me to go back to school to get better prepared for things that i would like to have opportunities in, in the next few years. Currently I have been going to school full-time (paying my own way through it) and have been working at a credit union for around six months now.
I feel like I can relate to everyone who is anywhere around my age because we are all making similar decisions. Whether these decisions are to stay working at your job that might not be taking care of you, or you have decided to get a job that you can work hard and move up in, or that you feel way over your head with student loans, or you are going to take advantage of a really good scholarship opportunity, or your financial aid has greatly benefited and increased your opportunities, or you are planning on starting a family soon/already are needing to support your current family, or that you just aren't sure what choices you should take right now.
I know this sounds like so much to think about.
It is, and we are ALL thinking about it.
What I would like to do as your spokesperson is SHOW YOU what I have learned about finances, saving (whether in your bank account or just not getting ripped off at the store), and credit unions in these past few months!
I've learned a lot for myself and would love to BE REAL with you on how we can better prepare for our own futures while enjoying life. :)

Just like you, I don't want to be considered an old adult. We are Young and Free after all! I love to be active and do stuff that is either cheap and worth it, or free.
Here Are Some Things I'd Recommend For This Summer!
Get some friends together and
- Play frisbee golf at a local park. It's a great sport to play with everyone, no matter how bad they are.
- Look on the internet for open mic nights, and get your friends to sing and play a song with you.
- Rent a movie from redbox for a buck ( they also have a free rental code every monday ) and watch it at your house while eating your all your mother's leftovers.
- Bike through some neighborhood paths, grab some water and bring your friends. If they can't come, your ipod will help make you feel like someone is near.
- Create a favorite board game night. Have you and your friends switch out your favorite games. Keep yourself happy and honest, no one likes a cheater (even though I'll admit, all my friends call me a cheater, It's when i really try to understand the game that I enjoy it the most).
- Find a pond and feed the ducks. Don't have food? Knock on the lake's neighbor's doors, They always have something.
- Go on a fast food strike every now and then. You can stop spending so much money on food that you end up not liking and throwing away anyways, and use that money to make your own food (Ha, or in my case, make your great girlfriend make the food for you.)
- Also go to every free concert you can! Even if you might hate it, You never know if you like something until you go! ( last semester I went to see a percussion and Afro-Cuban ensemble for school, and it was amazing! )
Hope to hear from you guys soon!
