Dusten's current situation:

I just graduated from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville and I am ready and eager to start a new job and career. I got my bachelor’s in Political Science and Mass Communications. I do eventually want to continue my education but I have decided that it is time for a small break from my studies to further my career.

Currently, I am a Senior Airman in the Illinois Air National Guard where I proudly serve the Illinois government, as well as the United States Air Force.

I live in O’Fallon, Illinois and often find myself downtown in St. Louis. When I have free time, I love to go out with friends and meet new and interesting people. I also love to experiment with new video production techniques as I am always trying to increase my talents and skills.

Dusten's blog post:

I just had an awesome time at the 2011 Unity Tour featuring Sublime with Rome and 311!

This is my second year attending 311’s Unity Tour that they host every summer. Their main focus for this festival is Unity through music. To me, it is an amazing ideal and goal to find new and interesting ways to unite people with a common interest.

As always, 311 headlined and put on an amazing performance. They played many of their classic singles as well as new tracks off of their new album to be released this month. They even played a new song that had never been heard before. That’s right, St. Louis hosted the world premiere of one of their newest songs!

Although Sublime now features a new lead singer, Rome, they still put on a great performance. Rome is no Bradley Nowell, but he does honor and justice to the songs written with Bradley as their lead singer. Since Nowell passed away in 1996, I was never sure if I would ever get to see Sublime play live. Now that Sublime with Rome is touring I can check yet another thing off of my bucket list.

I really can’t wait to see what line up the Unity Tour has next year! It is always a great time with good friends and good people.
