Andrew: Final Thoughts
As we near the end of the voting process for the 2011 Young and Free St. Louis Spokester search, I just wanted to share a few thoughts with everyone. Like I said in my final challenge blog, it’s hard to believe how quickly time flies by while you’re involved with this process. One day you are brainstorming what to blog about for the initial application and the next thing you know, you’re on Fox 2 with the other two finalists.
Before voting ends, I also wanted to take a few moments to share my gratitude. I am truly touched by the outpouring of support I’ve been shown and I won’t soon forget it. For those of you who voted for me, thank you. For those of you who commented on my blogs, retweeted my posts, appeared in my videos and came along on this journey with me, thank you. And, of course, to my family and friends, for being my strongest support, thank you so, so much.
I also owe a huge thank you to Vantage Credit Union. I’ve been a member for almost 7 years now and am so grateful for the opportunity they have given me. I’ve always known that Vantage has its members’ best interests at heart, but never realized I’d feel such incredible support from my credit union. When you join Vantage, you really are joining a place that will stay with you for life. The Not Your Mama’s Account is really only the beginning of the services Vantage has to offer, from loans and financial support to accounts for businesses and organizations. When you join Vantage, you’re not just joining a credit union, you’re joining a community. And to that community, I owe the deepest of thanks.
Finally, to Mike and Jenn, it’s been an honor to be a finalist alongside you both. I’ve enjoyed blogs and videos, seeing your ideas on the assignments we were given. You’re both so talented and I truly believe each of us would make fantastic spokesters. I wish you both the very best of everything!
There’s still some time to vote, so if you haven’t yet, be sure to get your ballot in before noon today. This has been an incredible experience and one that I am proud to have been a part of. Once again, thank you everyone for everything!
All the best,
Andrew
